Evidence review in progress

This guide previously contained unrelated source links. They have been removed from this entry and retained in the correction record for traceability. The relevant geographic references below support an initial map route, not a completed history or source collection. Further research should examine naming, historical change and later community connections without inferring disappearance from sparse records.

Eno River State Park General Management Plan — North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation

The state plan identifies Eno people living along the Eno River at early European contact. Jean B. Anderson's Library of North Carolina account independently locates the historical Eno in North Carolina's Piedmont. This supports a historical North Carolina connection without assigning a modern Eno government or adopting uncertain descendant-identification claims. Inspection: Actual PDF cover, mission text and printed page 3 (PDF page 2), II. HISTORY, especially lines 31–34 identifying Eno, Shakori and Occoneechee along the river. Supporting Anderson, Eno Indians (2006), first geographic paragraph was read in complete indexed article text; direct NCpedia fetch returned 403. No old profile source was reused. Supporting geographic excerpt; excluded from the substantive profile-source target.
